We had a great meeting on September 21, 2008.  We reconnected with classmates and started the initial planning for our reunion event.  Special thanks to Jajuan Johnson for hosting the meeting at his new photography studio.

Our first mission is to get in touch with all our classmates and let them know about the reunion.  This is everyone's job so spread the word and forward the website information on.  Our next task is to raise funds to help offset individual cost and insure that everyone will have a chance to participate.

We recieved the information from the 10-year planning committee and found out that we already have non-profit status!!  That opens up a whole new world in terms of raising funds.

Trimble Tech Class of 1989 has challenged us to a Ole' School Basketball game.  We will split the proceeds from this event with their reuion committee.  The game is tentatively set for October 11, 2008 at Rising Star Baptist Church.  We need players to represent out team plus volunteers to help Torina with the concession stand.  Jajuan Johnson is coordinating this event.

We will also be holding a voter registration drive at Dunbar High School soon.  Marc Pearson is coordinating.  We will update the calendar once the event date and time is finalized.

Homecoming is October 24, 2008, we plan to attend the game together and host a fundraising event afterwards.  Once the details are finalized we will update the calendar with all the pertinent information.

We have a lot of work to do and need all the help we can get.  If you would like to help out please send us a message and we will contact you.   Please check the website frequently as we add things daily!!

October 19, 2008 Meeting

Another great meeting.  Special thanks to all those that came out to share their ideas and reconnect.  

The Homecoming game this Friday is set.  We will be attending as a class and wearing the shirts we ordered today.  Thank you Rita for putting that together.  Shirts can be picked up Friday morning.  More details to come.  Final payment for shirts is due Thrusday.  Send Correen or Rita an email to make arrangements to pay for your shirt.

We will be going Wet Willie's after the game for Cocltails and Karaoke!!
